A super quick knit with just one skein of aran weight tweedy yarn. The yarn in question is Aran Tweed by Naturally from New Zealand. Of course from The Happy Hands Store 🙂
I wanted to see how this yarn knits up like. Well, it was a dream to work with – squishy and soft. The hat turned out great. Got my gorgeous sister to model for it.
Pattern: Simple Slouch Hat
Yarn: Aran Tweed by Naturally
Needles: 8mm
For those who are really quick this pattern should knit up in a couple of evenings. And since its only stockinette you can watch your favourite TV show without worrying about dropped stitches.
I made some modifications to the pattern. Here they are:
Cast on 50 sts. Join and work in the round.
Knit all sts till the work measures two and a half inches from the cast on edge.
Increase round:
knit10, m1 till the end of the round (55sts)
knit 2 rows even
knit11, m1 till the end of the round (60sts)
knit even till the hat measures 9inches from the cast on edge
